As President at SCC, Akthem brings a wealth of experience working with both public and private companies of all sizes, from a broad range of industries. A leader by nature, Akthem has headed up large organizational teams in the Investor Relations, Corporate Finance and Not-for-Profit sectors.
With a sound understanding of the complex regulatory system that is the capital markets,Akthem has significant experience in delivering solutions to clients and partners of all sizes to meet the ever-growing demand to stay compliant and transparent. Akthem has a keen eye on the bottom line and knows how to deliver responses that are in sync with the realities and business needs of his clients. A longtime supporter of charities, Akthem sat on the board for the Canadian Cancer Society Ontario Chapter. Akthem is a member of the CFA Institute.

Jesse is a passionate, experienced, and entrepreneurial financial and management leader who is driven to find practical solutions to operational and strategic hurdles. Jesse considers obstacles to be opportunities with driving bottom line success as the ultimate goal. With experience both in Canada and the US, Jesse has led a variety of small and large high-performing teams alike. Jesse, a CA, obtained his Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo and his Executive MBA through the Kellogg School of Management and the Schulich School of Business. Jesse believes that the prosperity and success of a community is inextricably linked to the willingness of those in it to give back for the betterment of the community as a whole. Over the years Jesse has dedicated significant time and resources to, among other causes, education and the arts including various directorships and as a past member of the University of Waterloo Board of Governors.

Over the course of his career, Babak has worked with various public and private companies across N.A. and Europe as an Investment Banker and an Investor Relations Professional. He has a distinctive approach to building strategic communication plans that has led to his success within the industry. His unique ability to build and maintain relationships has helped him develop an extensive network of contacts throughout the investment community. Babak has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University.

As an Art and Art History student in the University of Toronto/Sheridan College joint program specializing in illustration and design, Andrew started as a social media intern at SCC. He is now working as a design studio intern assisting the team with QA, QC and layout of websites through the CMS. Andrew's determination and hard work are always on hand to assist the team with any studio task.
